    Dear MAIC Medical Director,

    The enthusiastic posting on Craigslist attracted my attention right away! I felt that my passion to
    develop for the betterment of myself and for the company could be cultivated here at the Immediate
    Care Center. My name is Amber Fredricks, and I am an incoming senior studying biochemistry at the
    University of Illinois at Chicago. Over the years, I have gained a lot of person-to-person experience in the
    healthcare field in many different aspects, since I believe that learning from multiple angles will produce
    the best results, not to mention my office experience from working with databases, to watching and
    undertaking blood testing, could be very beneficial to you all. I chose biochemistry to study in university
    because of the challenge it provided to use multiple disciplines of science and some mathematics, and
    combine the knowledge to form a comprehensive understanding, one that will continue to grow as I
    study more and more. Using this method of learning everywhere I believe, provides the best and most
    efficient way of carrying out any task.
    Although Ive spent many years in clinical settings, I was too young for any training in heavy
    testing and practice, but I believe now, at 20 years of age, my communication skills, attention to detail,
    patience, and knowledge are strong enough to begin real practice, and I am confident enough in my
    abilities to provide the best results for the center. However, I am also aware that there is so much to
    learn, and one can never know too much, so every time I am taught something, my humility will trump
    my experience, and my student position in the student-teacher relationship will be adhered to and
    respected.
    I hope that you will find me a good suit for the Michigan Avenue Immediate Care Center, as I am
    very excited already to join this team.
