Summary: Rome began small, the gradually got large. They overthrew the Etruscan king in 509 B.C. Never want to be ruled by a monarchy, developed a republic system. Wealth began to make problems then Augustus came to rule and made Rome intro an empire. He created Roman peace. They took Greeks ideas, were great at engineering. Christianity came to be.
