How do the two systems of Democracy differ as far as branches of government are
concerned?
In the presidential system the president is both the chief executive and the head of state, where as
in parliamentary governments the chief executive and the head of state are two different offices.
B. Regarding elections, how do the systems compare?
The parliament votes for the head minister and the chief executive, the peoples vote doesnt
count. The peoples vote for the Presidential democracy do count, they go to the legislation then
they make the decision. You can vote at 18 in both the Parliament and the Presidential
democracy.

C. Do their leaders share similar terms in office? Explain in complete sentence format.
The presidential and the parliament have close terms in office because the parliaments terms are
that the maximum period between elections is 5. The presidential maximum period of time
between each election is 4 years and if reelected they can serve as president for another for years.
D. What are the "advantages" of each system of government? [At least two each]
Presidential System-
Direct elections
Separation of powers allows presidents and legislatures to monitor and check on each other
Parliamentary System- Executive branch is dependent on the legislative branch which allows the
legislature to pass through faster. The legislature has more power over the Prime Minister
E. Identify a disadvantage" of each system.
Presidential system- Movement towards authoritarian systems- Political Gridlock-
Parliamentary system-The president isnt chosen by the people
- There is nobody to veto/ check legislation passed by the parliament.
