An uplifting, multicultural health and wellness summit
Saturday, October 25, 2014 Mayfield Heights, Ohio Join us for the 10
th
anniversary
session of Celebrate Sisterhood: Building a Better You at the Executive Caterers at
Landerhaven on Saturday, October 25th from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Keynote speaker Montel Williams will share how to become an empowered patient, and
Mark Hyman, MD will help participants to create a 6-week plan for a healthier life. This
all-day event will include free health screenings and assessments, a panel on financial
literacy: understanding your financial health, hair and beauty makeovers, an interactive
cooking demonstration and discussion, fantastic raffle prizes and gift bags, along with a
full, flavorful breakfast and luncheon buffet.
Montel Williams is an award winning television personality, former naval officer,
inspirational speaker, author, entrepreneur and advocate for patients worldwide. After
being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, he developed the Montel Williams MS
Foundation to further the scientific study of MS and support research, raise awareness
and educate the public.
Celebrate Sisterhood is a Cleveland Clinic-sponsored program dedicated to educating,
energizing and empowering women of color to embrace self-care. Celebrate Sisterhood
believes that women who care for their physical, mental and emotional health take charge
of their destinies. The goal is to encourage women to become stronger healthcare
advocates for themselves, their families and their communities in order to create positive
change in the world.
