also inspired ali mardan !han in &eshawar. ,ritish style of architecture induced in
the concept .

3n the main entrance of the Wair !han mos"ue 4 shair li!hay huway hai
encrypting the year it was made in.
+he idea of mos"ue arose because of the pressing need of one in the city. +he
accommodation of the travellers also included in the concept. +his was the 5rst
mos"ue to be built on such a large scale# in %ahore. &eople copied it and
incorporated these designs in their palaces or mini mos"ues. ,ric! imitation was a
new concept design at that time which is used in this mos"ue.
Wor!ers from Sheesh 6ahal were hired to build this comple1. 7000 people can pray
at one time. At that time 80#000 residents in %ahore.
