This is my ninth year teaching in District 67. I have spent the last eight years as a classroom
teacher in grades 2 and 3. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Lake Forest College
and studied in Salamanca, Spain. I also have a Master of Arts in Teaching from National Louis
University and a Master of Education in Reading and Literacy from Benedictine University. I am
thrilled to be part of the World Language Team this year!

This is my sixth year teaching in District 67. I have spent a cumulative 21 years teaching
Spanish in a variety of settings from preschool to senior citizens. I received my B.S. in
Secondary Education with a certification in Spanish and a minor in Counselling from the
University of Missouri - Columbia. Upon graduation I spent a year teaching in a language
academy in Madrid, Spain. I also have a Masters of Curriculum and Instruction from National
Louis University. The best experience for me by far has been raising my three children
bilingually with my Argentine husband Sergio!

Unit 1 Can Do Statements

Ask for class supplies using the word puedo.
Say the materials that I need for class.
Say the days of the week.
Say todays date.
Follow the teachers directions.
Read the script for Muzzy.
