Date October 7 Day Tuesday Time 5:30pm or 6pm

Step 2: Get Prepared to Present
You will be sharing a lesson idea that you have done in the past. You will then share ways in which you
think you could move your lesson up the SAMR model.
Member 1 - Alan W.: A lesson idea that you have already been doing: Family Trees on poster
board. Descriptive sentences either handwritten or typed on computer, then printed. Students
present their families to class. Family posters are displayed in our classroom.

Step 3: Share Ideas
In the presentation you will be asked to share additional ideas or tools for your group members. There
wont be time to share for every group member, but you need to be prepared to provide input for a
few members. If you do not have any suggestions for a classmate, do some research and come back with
a new idea or tool.
Member 1 -
for Alan W.
Suggestions and tools:
For redefinition phase, you could try a blog tool like My Big Campus, or even
Socrative so students could respond to the presentations, with appropriate
comments (in French!). I liked the Flipsnack tool, as a way to modify a lesson. - Scott
R.
Member 2 -
for Scott R.
Suggestions and tools: Scott, You could have students present themselves as a
specialist in the religion and make a video or have a blog. Other student could post
questions. Also, students could make presentations and post on a website for
interaction: Slidebean, Prezi, flipsnack (for a book), a Blog, Google Hangouts. - Alan
W.
I am a huge fan of PowerPoint and I am fond of Prezi. Thats a great tool if you were
to have the students do a innovative presentation in the class. - Todd A.
Member 3 -
For Todd A.
Suggestions and tools:
Todd, you could use a Hangout session where students share Vocabulary with each
other, and ideas for pictures, or they can help one another with terms they dont
understand. I liked the Zaption toll you proposed, and I liked the Educreation tool for
modifying the lesson. - Scott R.
I like Zaption. It helps to enhance the video by making sure the viewers are paying
attention (i.e. must answer a question before moving on in the video). - Todd.

Step 4: Get your materials together
When you are presenting, I would like you to share your screen so that we can get a visual of the lesson
ideas or tools you are talking about. Find a place to curate your content so that you are ready to present
on the big day. It might be nice to use something like Google Docs or Google presentations so you can
link it here for you classmates perusal.

Step 5: Get on the same Page
Decide in what order you want to present. Maybe setup a practice Google Hangout to see if everyone
can connect before the meeting day. The group leader should help orchestrate all of this. Please be
present & communicate with your group. If there is going to be a conflict in meeting times you need to
move to a new group ASAP.
My ipad did not show the side buttons for screen options. Therefore I am moving to a PC. - Alan
First upload NOT successful. Second time is good to go - Scott R.

Step 6: Present using Google Hangouts on Air
The group leader should set up the presentation. You just need to be invited and click to join.
