the programme or room that has been selected on the web form and the
weeks that the user has requested to view.

Printed timetables:
Printed timetables are laid out with the days of the week running vertically and
time slots running horizontally. All room bookings run from 15 minutes past
the hour to 05 past the hour. The page header shows the year, semester and
programme that the timetable refers to.

Each teaching activity displays the following information

1. The unit code or booking reference identifies the booking in the database and should be
quoted in any communication about the event. For teaching activities this identifier begins
with the unit code, followed by an abbreviation that describes the format of the class.
Bookings made through the Web Room Booking System begin with the user name of the
booker, followed by the room, date and time that was originally requested.

2. Commonly used patterns for 2010/11: Weeks 1-11, 15 = Semester one; Weeks 19-29, 32 =
Semester two. (Semester two week patterns vary from year to year depending on when
Easter falls.)

3. Locations are only booked during the weeks indicated. You should not assume that a room
will be free to use in a week when it has not been allocated to you. No GTA locations should
be used without a confirmed booking from the CTO.
