PSCI 4342 Legislative Decision Making (3 semester hours) This course examines the
politics of the Texas Legislature in detail. It is offered only during legislative sessions
and uses the session as a backdrop to examine policy making and politics in this branch
of state government. Students should be advised that two overnight trips to Austin are
included in the course. UTD does cover the cost of these trips. McDermott scholars
interested in taking the course should send an email to Dr. Thielemann at
gregt@utdallas.edu and indicate that they are in the McDermott program. Consent of
instructor is required and the course is limited to 20 students. (3-0) T
