Take a look at
your Medusas
obituary
worksheet.
What is an obituary?
An obituary is a notice
of death. It usually
includes a brief
biography of the
deceased and details
of the death.
Write an obituary for Medusa.
Make it funny if you wish. Be
sure to use facts about her life
and her death (from The
Lightning Thief). What will her
funeral arrangements be?
Where should people send
flowers or charitable
donations?
After youre finished
writing, draw a
portrait to
accompany the
obituary. Take a
look at the following
example.
Medusa
Former Greek monster, Medusa Snakehead,
has died.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Snakehead, Medusa
lived a life as a monster. She had snakes
for hair and the face of evil. She graduated
from the University of Mythology last in her
class. She was known for her ability to turn
everything and everyone she looked at to stone. Tragically slain by
Percy Jackson, she is no longer with us.
Due to the cause of death (her head was cut off) there will not be a
viewing scheduled. Services will be held tomorrow at 6:00 PM. All
flower arrangements can be sent to Riptide Funeral Home.
You have the rest
of class to
complete
Medusas obituary
and your exit
ticket.
