MICROCLONAL PROPAGATION OF
THE YUGLANS REGIA L. THROUGH
SOMATIC EMBRYOGENESIS

Rustaveli State University Georgia, Batumi Sh.
Using modified Gamborg BS nutrient medi*
um supplemented with BAP and IAA or BAP
and IBA in varying concentrations and ratios
there was developed strategy for generation
of Yuglans regia regenerants via somatic em*
bryogenesis suitable for mass propagation as
planting stocks.
Key words: Yuglans regia, microclonal prop*
agation, somatic embryogenesis.
