With over two decades in Special
Education and 16+ years as a
Special Needs parent I strongly
believe that you are the best
advocate for your child. My
goal is to provide you with the
skills to effectively communicate
with your school district. Let me
prepare, support and assist you
in navigating this sometimes
difficult and frustrating process.
I have taught in a variety of settings
including piloting Integrated Co-Teaching
initiatives, Self-Contained 12:1:1, Day
Treatment (8:1:2) Consultant Teacher,
General Education and Home-Based ABA
therapy.
In addition to over a decade and a half of
teaching experience I have seven years
experience in providing staff
development to school districts on a
variety of topics related to Special
Education including Co-Teaching, using
Resource Room services effectively,
integrating related services into the
classroom, best practices in planning and
delivering instruction to students with
disabilities, Behavior
Interventions/Functional Behavioral
Assessments/Behavior Intervention
Plans, Writing IEPs that are measurable
and provide meaningful benefit and
more.
