Read Chapter Three

..
1. Thank the person in your life that you think understands you best.
2. Think about a memory that makes you smile. Share your memory with someone.
3. Who has shared areas of weakness and vulnerability with you? Ask God to bless them,
and if appropriate, thank them.
4. Pray Psalm 19: 1-2. Invite someone to go outside with you and look at the sky. Imagine
what God is revealing through His handiwork. Share your thoughts with that person.
Bonus points:
Ask someone you trust to pray for a problem in your life
Ask someone if you can pray for them this week
Send a card to a widow or small child
Fast the internet, phone or TV for one day...ask God what He wants you to do
Watch for incidents of joy giving and write them down, post on facebook or tell someone!

Any form of trauma damages our ability to connect with others.

We must learn to handle the emotion we are feeling and stay connected,
relationally to the people we love.
When we learn to handle emotions relationally, our brain learns to regulate
them internally and is much less likely to crave pseudo-joy.
Jesus is glad to be with me. He wants me to discover
and be who He created me to be.
