Product and Development
Scaw Metals Group has been producing high carbon steel
wire products at its Wire & Strand Operations, situated at
60 Strachan Street Germiston, South Africa since 1937
and is celebrating 75 years of exellence in the steel
wire, strand and rope industries. The wire products are
marketed and sold in many countries in the world.
These wire products consist of various grades and
sizes and the most common products produced in our
Commercial Product Division are:

Wire sizes of up to 16mm in diameter are produced in
our Commercial Division. Typical applications are as
depicted.
The wire, strand, rope and chain operations support their
products through a network of service centres that are
staffed by trained specialists to provide on-site technical
support. These centres offer a range of testing and
termination services and stock a wide range of wire rope
and chain fttings, lifting equipment and related hardware.
