it offers subjects such as Social Studies, Science, World, and Math. Fact Monster has fun
games, and quizzes to help the student practice the curriculum for their grade level. Fact
Monster also offers a homework center section to assist students with tools such as a
calculator, periodic table, and current event calendar. Fact Monster has an area of
frequent asked question were they display many popular questions asked by other
students. They even offer examples of equations with an example.
How can this resource be used? This website can be used to help the student study. After the
teacher is through with the math lesson, the student is able to practice at home with
flashcards or games. This will assist them anywhere because it is online

Funbrain is a great website that was established in 1997. The website receives great reviews
by librarians, teachers, publishers, and students. This website offers free educational
grades to children from elementary all the way up until 8

grade. Funbrain is a great way
to begin to teach children how to use a computer. The website offers a safe and private
learning tool.
How can this resource be used?
Funbrain can be used at home, school, and the library. Funbrain is a great tool that can be
used for math, reading, and it even has mad libs.

games. Its purpose is to give the student practice in a fun way that way the student will be
motivated to learn. It is a way to take out boring routine into a fun activity that will teach
the child the concept by practice. This website is completely free and can be used by
anyone. It even offers a graphing calculator for those who do not have one at home.
How can this resource be used?
This resource can be used online or offline because it offers pintables that the student can
used at home or in school. The website offers games for practice, and it also offers word
search activities.

Sesame Street Workshop is a non-profit organization that offers free online videos and
games for children all around the world. This website currently works with more than 150
countries to address educational needs to these children. The mission of the sesame street
workshop is to use the educational power of media to help all children reach their highest
potential. Overall literacy score of 4-yr.-olds with high exposure to the show is 54.8 vs. 32.9
for those with no exposure. Associates for Community and Population Research (ACPR).
(2008). Sisimpurs Reach and Educational Impact Evidence from a National Longitudinal Study.
Dhaka, Bangladesh. The literacy results of this website are outstanding with a 67% higher
literacy score than those who do not watch.
How can this resource be used?
This resource can be used to facilitate those who do not speak English because it offers
some words in Spanish in the videos. The website also offers many activities for practice or
videos to go over what the student has covered but does not understand yet. The resource is
also partnered up with Healthier America and offers characters that promote what to eat in
an effort to fight child obesity. In my lesson I would try incorporating the short video

Adding, Adding, Adding in this video the characters explain what adding is and how it can
be done.

Teacher tube was first established in 2007 by Adam and Jason Smith who are long time
educators. These teachers wanted a site just for teachers were they could have videos. This
site soon became a very popular and interactive site for educators. The site offers a free
service to upload videos, documents, and audio. It is a great way to see what fellow
educators are using in their classes.
How can this resource be used?
This resource has lots of videos that offer ways the teacher can teach the subject for
example in adding the webpage had an adding rap song. It is a way to interact with your
students in a fun way and to take the dullness out of Math.
