In the sky diving video, you noticed that with two
people diving together, there needed to be a small
parachute deployed so they would not get going
too fast. Without air, all objects would continue to
accelerate at -10 m/s/s. With air, falling objects
reach a maximum or terminal velocity and stop
accelerating.



Aim
The aim of this experiment is to investigate the effect of mass on the terminal velocity.

Equipment
Coffee filters (the mass of a coffee filter is 1 coffee filter or 1 cf)
Motion detector (can measure velocity)
