Over the months, they discovered kettlebell swings, received help and encouragement from an online community, improved their form starting with a lighter 16 kg bell, changed their diet and incorporated other exercises, and drew inspiration from experts in the field. By September, they had improved their technique and completed the challenge in October.

300 swings, 30 days, 24 kg bell, good form, no fatigue!
Couldnt have done it without this wonderful 300
swings community! Heres how it happened over the past 8 months: Feb: Discovered fitness-gold in the kettlebell swing. Decided to learn it. Mar: Met many kind and knowledgeable souls who helped a brother out the whole way, but for whom this effort wouldve collapsed before it was off the ground (basically most people on my friends-list, thank you all). Apr: Realized theres no way in hell a wasted-overweight-unconditioned-inflamed beginner could do this challenge anytime soon. May: Buried ego and stuck with iffy 16 kg swings to get better, made more wonderful friends who were always encouraging and positive. Jun: Changed diet somewhere along the way, and more unknown-unknowns became known-unknowns, like nutrition, mobility and breathing. Jul: Looked around, changed course some more, made a routine of pushups, pull-ups, farmer-carries, and kept learning more about swings with practice and reading. Aug: The sage advice and guidance of Moses Correa and John Bair now showed visible and irreducible results (two crucial resources early on were Moses backyard-tutorial on the wall-hinge, deadlift, and pendulums, and Johns excellent e-book on the red-flags of fitness, both gave me a solid foundation). 24 kg swings were getting consistently better. Sep: All coming together, shins near vertical, improved kinesthetic awareness, totally inspired by compatriot and Kettlebell Guru Abhishek Singh, and awed by the beasts of the 300 swings community whose fantastic achievements stood out as the crowd thinned. Oct: Wheres the after-party?! 300 swings challenge complete!
