What we told reporters Andrew Clark and Robin Pagnamenta of

The Times on their imaginary story of Mr. Ambanis interest in

Financial Times (FT)

To: 'Robin Pagnamenta'
Subject: RE: Query from The Times (London)

Robin,

To our denial and recourse to the truth, I am sorry to see that
The Times, one the world sees as a newspaper of record, went
ahead and published a completely incorrect story.

There is no truth in your source's favour.

If, however, such a 'source' isn't purely imaginary, you should
name this entity/individual. This alone would enable us to
engage with who is claiming to know more about our company
than our company does about itself.

If The Times chooses not to name its 'source,' we in our
extreme disappointment would deem that your paper and its
two writer are willing to be party to rumour by motivated
parties in all jurisdictions where your paper and its websites, for
whom we have respect, are distributed. This is for the record
and without prejudice.

Regards
