Theoretical Framework:
1. Gagns Nine Events of Instruction.
Robert Gagn proposed a series of events for teaching, namely Gain attention, Inform learners of objectives, Stimulate
recall of prior learning, Present the content, Provide learning guidance, Elicit performance (practice), Provide
feedback, Assess performance and Enhance retention and transfer to the job. These Instructions are also in behaviorist
approach and cognitive approach.
2. Social constructivism.
We introduce social setting in learning so that students can construct knowledge for one another.
3. E-learning
i. Blended learning
Combines different learning environments, including via the web and face-to-face teaching
ii. Communities of practice
-

Project Based Learning in group

Students-centred, students share interests and collaborate using different platforms, such as video-conferencing,
emails, etc.
-

Curriculum integrated with ICT with teachers giving guildline

4. E-Porfolio
-

Keeping learning records in an electronic or digital record

maintained on the Internet, such as samples of work, feedback
received and reflections

Allow students to share their works to fellow students, or even Internet users, which is believed
to be motivating

Provide a convenient way of storing variety of artifacts over time

Encourage students to become self-motivated and lifelong learners

5.

Peer evaluation

Students evaluates each other, teacher acts as quality control to safeguard the bottomline of
quality

6.

TPACK model
Technology, pedagogy and contents are linked tightly with each other

7.

Time

Theory of multiple intelligences

Gardner states that students also have their particular learning characteristics, such as musicalrhythmic, visual
spatial, verballinguistic, logicalmathematical, bodilykinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalistic,
to raise students learning efficiency.
