Goal:
Goal 1: Standard 3- With literacy enrichment being a school-wide goal this year, I will enhance the literacy focus within my classroom by purposefully integrating book text with skills being
demonstrated and taught. Literacy extension opportunities will be planned and made available to children across various learning centers within the classroom to address learning standards and goals
within North Carolina Foundations for Early Learning and Development. I will also increase my efforts to educate parents on the importance of literacy, such as the developmental skill progression for
young children, quality literacy opportunities that can be done at home, etc.

*Information related to literacy and developmental progression of literacy skills will be given to families through various printed materials and resources.
*Family literacy nights will be held multiple times throughout the school year.

Goal:
Goal 2: Standard 2- In order to more effectively adapt my teaching practices to benefit the students in my class with special needs, specifically those with developmental delay and challenging
behaviors, I will utilize research-based strategies and techniques, such as visual cues and positive reinforcements, to enhance their development and learning.
Activities/Actions:
*Visual cues will be created, taught, and frequently utilized during multiple opportunities throughout the day, such as transitional periods and group meetings.
*All children will be introduced to problem-solving techniques, in order to use peer teaching opportunities.
