2014 has put West Africa on the Map

EBOLA
Ebola Virus Disease (EVD)

a local Brooklyn-based non-profit, has been present in Liberia since 1985, long before EBOLA became
headline news. Located just outside of Monrovia, Liberia, this program is in the epicenter of this dreaded out-break. In
September 2014, the virus claimed two of their staff. With an acquired knowledge of how to communicate and work with
local people, their clinic serves urgent medical needs. In addition, their community education programs help to calm
and inform the surrounding community so that effective medical responses can be administered.
IMANI HOUSE,

It is one of the critical links in the developing medical chain to slow the rate of
infection and to increase the rate of survival for those already infected. The rate of EVD cases will slow down. Now,
however, there are more than 10,000 reported cases and Liberia alone has cases in every district throughout the country.
IMANI HOUSE is our neighbor.

So, the need for front line support is clear. Let Imani House help you by helping the Liberians get
control of EVD. You, your family, friends and associates can help. The time for you to act is now.
ACT LOCAL (THINK GLOBAL), a local Park-Slope activist group, believes that you should be informed and engaged.
Supporting and amplifying the needs of IMANI HOUSE is our current project. We think that it should be yours, too.
