Reaction to Idea of Transfiguration

The introduction of transfiguration into the discussion of the birth of

tragedy and The Birth of Tragedy has helped me to understand connections
and relations that were vague and shaded by the challenging language of
Nietzsche’s text, and the Danto excerpt further clarified the issue.
Tragedy can be well defined as a dramatic endeavor “where the artwork
becomes a metaphor for life and life is transfigured,” and I suspect that
if I borrow this phrase from Danto, and understand it as a major theme of
Birth, perhaps the major theme, the work and the corollary texts should
unify themselves in my mind, and offer valuable insight into the issue.
