Resources:
Minimum of 15 resources in your Digital Artifact designed to
teach/educate about the sustainability topic of your choice.
Resources used in the Digital Artifact should be annotated
according to assignment description. Annotated URLs should
provide the justification for the selection of the resource. This
section must be proof read, clear, and well-articulated. These
must support a sustainability topic.
Unit Plan Summary:
a. Description/Overview: Provide a brief overview of your 5
day unit: main ideas/topics, grade level, subject area, and
general information about integration of your digital artifact
(approx. 1 paragraph). This section must be proofread,
clear, and well-articulated. It must include evidence of a
clear sustainability topic.
b. Learning Goals: As a result of the unit, what will students
know and/or to be able to do?
State explicit, measurable learning goals for Day 1 Day 5
of your unit. This section must be proofread, clear, and
well-articulated.
c. Procedure/Activities: Describe the activities that would be
included as part of this unit plan. How will the content be
taught? Describe the major instructional events/activities for
all 5 days of your unit. This section must be proofread,
clear, and well-articulated.
Lesson Plan:
One fully developed lesson plan that would be included as part
of the unit. Student thoroughly completed all sections of the
lesson plan template. This section must be proofread, clear, and
well-articulated.
a. Way of Thinking: The lesson plan you develop should
include at least one of the Ways of Thinking we have
explored in the course: Futures, Values, Strategic or
Systems. Define the Way of Thinking you selected and used
in this lesson plan and clearly describe how the way of
thinking would enhance or be part of the lesson plan.
Rationale:
a. Why did you choose this topic? Describe your rationale
for selecting the specific sustainability topic that your digital
artifact covers. What is the specific sustainability topic you
are exploring? Describe why this is a sustainability topic.
What engaged you the most about this topic and why did
you select it? Do you think this is important for you to
consider as a citizen?
b. Why does it matter for your students? Describe why you
find this topic relevant to teach in your future classroom.
Why is it important knowledge/skills for students to have?
How does it relate to other content areas (science, social
studies, math, reading, writing, etc.)? This section must be
proof read, clear, and well-articulated.
Work Cited: Outline of all the resources/references used to
prepare your project, APA format.
Review: A final project with a clear sustainability topic that has
been proofread and thoroughly reviewed.
