should be able to give reasons how they arrive at the answer.
• Explain the need • The “must do” group may need to be given flash cards or word list (key words) e.g.
for a balanced diet protein, carbohydrates, etc.
• Give students about 15 minutes to do this activity individually and teacher should go
round the classroom to help the “must do” students.
• Then, teachers can select 1 student from the “must do”, “should do” and “could do”
and ask them to stand in front and explain their answers in the worksheet. This will
give students the opportunity to practice several skills i.e. speaking in English
language, improve confidence in making presentations.
• Teachers may want to give a small token of appreciation e.g. chocolates, pen, etc to
these students so that other students will be motivated to speak in front of the class
when they are summoned by the teacher in the future.
• Then teacher can give students another follow-up activity. Here students are asked to
plan a balanced diet for their breakfast, lunch or dinner by listing down all the food
and drinks.
