Dear Mr. Maitra, We refer to Mr. Barts mail on the above. Our observations on the same are as follows: 1. We are giving final notice to ABB to clear all their punch points. The copy of mail that is going to be sent to them is being marked to you also. Failing which performance bond of ABB will be confiscated. 2. The condenser flow rate is to be increased. We have increased it manually and checked the performance of the chillers and the same has found to be satisfactory. However, the minor changes in the DCS have to be carried out to enable the plant to run on AUTO with the increased condenser flow rate. We will submit the test report soon. 3. Under the present heat load condition one chiller can be operated in Manual so no Auto operation for whole network is possible. One chiller which is operating, it is operating in its AUTO cycle. 4. Due to the above, there will be minor changes in the control system, e.g. now four chillers will be working and two will act as standby. Also each condenser water pump will cater to two chillers instead of two and half chillers as per the earlier design. This is well explained during the last training. These changes to be done by ABB. The above changes are very minor and do not have any significant affect on the overall control logic of the plant. 5. The plant is now being operated continuously for more than one and a half year on round the clock basis. There could be some blockage in the heat exchangers due to this which is normal. However, it is not our scope to clean the heat exchangers. We trust that you will find the above in order. Regards,
