Installation Notes

------------------ Run 2013_11_07_01_webvulnscan9.exe to install program

- Accept the certificate regarding https during install
- At the end of the installation DO NOT RUN the program, uncheck the box and e
nd the installation
- Run the key generator (Tested at both virscan.org and virustotal.com, both o
f which yielded very few results) replace all the fields with whatever informati
on you like, choose your licence type and click save
- Run the program, you may well be prompted about the AcuMonitor service the f
irst time ...
AcuMonitor service
Some web vulnerabilities can only be detected or verified using an intermediate
server. Acunetix Web Vulnerability Scanner version 9 introduces the detection of
such vulnerabilities by using the AcuMonitor service. Acunetix WVS v9 users are
required to register to the AcuMonitor service in order to detect and verify su
ch vulnerabilities.
- Obviously it's advisable not to register to this service using a non existe
nt licence
- In the program, go to Configuration/Application Settings and change the App
lication updates from 'At Application startup' to 'When *Check for updates* is c
licked. Click the Apply button.
