Reducethecetylesterswaxandthewhitewaxtosmallpieces,meltthemon
asteambath,addthealmondoil,andcontinueheatinguntilthetemperature
ofthemixturereaches70 .Dissolvethesodiumborateinthepurifiedwater
andthestrongerrosewater,warmedto70 ,andgraduallyaddthewarm
aqueousphasetothemeltedoilphase,stirringrapidlyandcontinuouslyuntil
ithascooledtoabout45 .Thenincorporatetheroseoil.
NOTERoseWaterOintmentisfreefromrancidity.IftheOintmenthasbeen

chilled,warmitslightlybeforeattemptingtoincorporateotheringredients(see
Ointments and Suppositories inthesectionAdded Substances under
Ingredients and Processes intheGeneral Notices).
