Biography

Matt Luck grew up in Ohio

He started dancing at the age 10 where his passion for detail was
fairly noticeable

Matt trained with the Z Company under the direction of Zandra

Thomson & Aly Moss in Ohio; then began teaching even as a
student

His unique style brought the attention and recognition from

professionals from all the world

He is currently a member of the Justin Giles Company SoulEscape

Matts main focus is to be creative and to teach

Recognitions

Matt been asked to assist Tyce Dorio from So You Think You Can
Dance at regional events for THE PLUSE on tour

He also danced for Funk Legend and Rock and Roll Hall of Frame

He has done promotional work Cincinnati Bengals and Paul Brown

Stadium, The Red Cross and Cincinnati Reds

Recently performed with Taylor Swift in 2012 American Music

Awards

Appeared on Foxs television show Glee

Collaborated with musician, Richard Walters and choreographed

with Emily Shock and presented a full show entitled Regretless

Besides dancing/ Choreographing Matt produces his own short

videos

Personal Statements

Meylins

Although I personally do not enjoy

gestural choreography, I still admire
how Matt Lucks choreography using
small simple movements, but still
make the movements make the
movements powerful. I also love how
he uses a lot of contact movement
and you can see how the energy
passes through him and his partner.

Andreas

I personally enjoy watching the

gestural movements in Matts
choreography. I love how the
movements are clear and precise but
still flowing within each other,
creating a dynamic feature to his
work. Also the emotions used in the
pieces to draw the audiences
attention. Overall I think Matt Luck
work is amazing and hoping to see
more of his work soon.
