Assessment
1) The teacher will assess this by
observation. The teacher will have a
PowerPoint/ Interwrite page with a solids
and liquids t-chart on it. The students will
have to identify some examples of solids
and liquids and what characteristics make
them solids and liquids. By the students
answers, I can determine what students
need extra assistance and which ones
have mastered the concept. I can also
assess this by the worksheet I will provide
the students at the end of the lesson. It is
a t-chart broken up into three parts
(solids, liquids, and polymers). If the
students can identify at least three solids,
three liquids and explain why orally, then
it will show me that they have mastered
the concept.
