about coding and develop programs using coding
Step 3: How will you make your proposals upbeat, positive, and interesting?
Every year technology is becoming more and more evident in schools. There seem to be apps
for just about everything, except how to make a classroom more interesting. Since modern
programs and apps are created from coding, a coding class should be created. Providing our
students with the knowledge and tools to learn and apply coding, there is no telling what they
can create. In my Physics class we are studying momentum and collisions, and my students
have been challenged with creating a device that will reduce the impact force on an egg when
dropped from 20 meters. One student asked if there was an easy way to determine the
terminal velocity of an egg. My reply was that it would take many calculation and trials to
determine this. He then said, Wouldnt it be nice if there was an app for that? This gave me
the idea that allowing students to learn coding and create apps for various aspects of school and
projects.
This would be the basis of my proposal. The students would be genuinely interested in coding,

and could create programs and applications that could benefit the school and other students.
Using the story of my Physics student would create the interest of the proposal and a positive
reason why it would be benefit my school.
