Avoid Grants
The San Francisco Police Department will serve as the host agency for a Regional DUI effort in San Francisco County to reduce
alcohol-involved fatalities and injuries and raise general public awareness regarding the problems associated with drinking and
driving. Participating agencies include Police Departments from the City's of every municipality, the County Sheriff's & Probation
Departments, College Police, ABC and the California Highway Patrol. Activities will include DUI Checkpoints, DUI Saturation
Patrol, Multi-Agency DUI Task Force Ops, Warrat/Probation Sweeps, Court Sting Ops for repeat DUI offenders during the
August-Labor Day & Winter Holiday Mobilizations, Memorial Day & Independence Day weekends & Special Events with Identified
DUI problems.
