Analysis
Turn to page 19 and re-read Helenas monologue. On a

separate sheet of paper answer the following:


Identify (2) metaphors. Rewrite them and explain the

meaning.
Explain the significance of Cupid to her argument.
(Hint: Use your phone to look up the identity of Cupid if
you are unfamiliar). (3-4 sentences)
Why does Helena believe Demetrius will be grateful for
the information she intends to give him? Do you think
he will be? Why or why not? (3-4 sentences)

Complete the reading questions while we begin to read

Act 1, scene 1. You will turn in the Act 1 work when we


finish the Act.
Also, you will have a quiz on Act 1 at the conclusion.
Everyone will have a chance to read. Reading counts as
a grade (because this is drama class). Students will be
chosen randomly to play parts every day. If you choose
not to read, you will receive a zero for the day.

Make a prediction for Act 11 in regards to the four

lovers (Hermia, Lysander, Helena, and Demetrius).
