Me and my classmate went to the class and the teacher received us gently. Then we decided to sit in the back of the class and see how the teacher develops the class. I was surprised because the students (math pedagogy) still behave like high school students they were very talkative, even though, the teacher managed to control the class. I realized the teacher manages and tried to do all the class in English (the students level of English was very low) but sometimes it was necessary for her to translate some words into Spanish. Then I realized the students do understand the majority of what the teacher was saying bit they were not able to speak in English and ask questions in Spanish. Another thing that called my attention was how the teacher was giving the instructions to the students. She was doing all what our teacher of methodology taught us.
Day 2: September 25th
My classmate and I went to the class again, we sit at the back of the class and watch how the class went. This time there were fewer students (24 students). This time the class aim was about likes and dislikes. The class went very fluent, and as observers we couldnt do too much. This time what called my attention was how the teacher wrote the aims of the lesson and while this were done the teacher was crossing it them out.
Day 3: October 5th
Today we decided with my classmate to help during the class the students, we asked gently to the teacher and she agreed. At the beginning we were very nervous but then the students asked us for for help and I realized that I wasnt a student anymore I was seen as a teacher. This was my first attempt to my teaching experience and I was really enjoying it.
