Structure of SBP
The SBP is known to be an autonomous body and its activities are
mainly governed by its central board.

The board governing SBP consists of ten members.

The governor of SBP is appointed by President on the advice of
Prime Minister of Pakistan while other members include secretary
finance and eight directors including at least one from each province
who are eminent professionals from the fields of economics, finance,
banking and accountancy and are appointed by the federal
government.

Directors are appointed for a term of 3 years.
