Aim: SWBAT: Tell their partners about their likes and dislikes.

Exponent: I like going out with my friends and drink


Target Language:
Use: To share information about your likes and dislikes in a
conversation with your peers.
Contracted form of do/does+ not to show
Vocabulary and structures will be useful to communicate your likes and
dislikes. To make new relationships according to your likes and dislikes.
Meaning: to talk about things you like and you dont like.
Form: I+ like/dislike+ verb (gerund form) + phrase.
Contracted form of : do+not to show their dislikes in an informal
context.

What Im going to say


Now, I would like you to draw your partner next to you.
You have 2 minutes to draw him/her.
Once youve finished present your partner to the rest of the
class. You can follow the steps in the PPT.
ICQ: What do you have to do?
At the end of this lesson you will be able to tell your partners
about your likes and dislikes.
In this picture you can see people who are drinking.
They like drinking with their friends

Now look at these pictures of people with their likes and


dislikes.
Imagine Im Walter White: I like cooking Meth.
We use this structures to express our likes and dislikes.
CCQs: Which one of these structures do we use to express
dislikes.

Now, you will have to choose on these famous people.


With list of verbs provided , create a sentence about their
likes, and one about their dislikes.
You will have 5 minutes to complete the task.

Ss will practice with a ball of wool.


T will have the ball of wool and will say 1 like
and 1 dislike.
T will throw the ball to one of the students
who will have to say 1 like and so on.
At random they will be given a name of one
of their classmates and they will have to
report what their classmate said. If they
report correctly , Ss will be given a lollipop.
(Less controlled)

PRODUCTION

T asks students to write at least 2 sentences


about their likes and 2 about their dislikes.
T writes on the whiteboard a facebook page.
Ss will have to send their answers to the
facebook page.
T reads answers out loud and students will
have to guess who sent that.

I would like you to think about 2 sentences which are true to


you. 1 sentence will express a like and the other a dislike.
You will have 3 minutes to think about your sentences.
This cotton wool will decide whose turn is. Once you receive
the cotton wool you have to tell your sentence as fast as you
can and then throw it to any partner.
I will start. I like watching the walking dead..
After this you will receive one name at random andyou will
have to recall what that person said. If you are correct you
will receive a prize.

For this part of the lesson you will have to write 4 sentences:
2 about your likes and 2 about your dislikes. You dont have
to share your answers with anyone else.You will have 5
minutes to think. Now, I would like you to send me your
answers to my facebook page. I will read the answers out
loud and you will have to guess whose likes and dislikes are
those.
