Annual Immigration to America. Digital image. N.p., n.d. www.trivisonno.comWeb. 28
Oct. 2014.
(Annual Immigration to America)
This is a great visual chart for the presentation. It is easy to understand and shows the
change over a span of over a century. Its limitation is that it does not show up to modern
times. It only shows up to 2010.
This visual can be used to give the audience a visual depiction of the trend of immigration
to the United States.
Canter, Laurence A., Martha S. Siegel, and Ilona M. Bray. U.S. Immigration Made Easy.
Berkeley, CA: Nolo, 2004. Print.
(Canter, Seigel, and Bray)
This book is good because it explains very well how to get citizenship in America in
modern times. It sadly does not say how it has changed overtime.
This book will not be used in the project because it is slightly outdated and too informative
for the needs of this project. There are many other sources that can give the information
needed without too much information.
"The Facts on Immigration Today." The Center for American Progress Immigration Team.
The Facts on Immigration Today. Center for American Progress, 12 July 2012.
Web. 01 Nov. 2014.

This is a great source for the semester long multimodel project. It has many statistics that I
could pull information from about immigration. It is limited to modern day statistics, rather
than the past.
This source is good to put in the presentation because it has a lot of facts about modern day
immigration statistics.
"Immigration." Cornell University Law School. Immigration. Cornell University, n.d. Web.
02 Nov. 2014.
(Immigration)
This is a good source because it has complete history of the change in immigration over the
course of America's history. It is also reliable because it is written by a university. It is
limited still though because it does not go too in depth on any portion.
This source is accurate and a good website to cite from. It has good information on
immigration laws of the past and present.
"The History of Immigration Policies in the U.S." NETWORK. A National Catholic Social
Justice Lobby, n.d. Web. Oct.-Nov. 2014.
(The History of Immigration Policies in the U.S.)
This source is very well for my topic of the semester long project because it explains the
history of immigration, specifying each race as well. The negative parts of this source is
that there is no author or published date.
This is a very good source of information for the presentation when wanting to have
information of different races and immigration.
"U.S. Immigration Before 1965." History.com. History.com. A&E Television Networks,
2009. Web. 12 Oct. 2014.
(History Staff)

Saha 3
This is a great source for location and history of immigration. It is a very good source
because it is History.com. It speaks of all immigration sites and reasons for immigration
before 1965.
This source is a good explanation of the immigration methods and problems from before
1965.
"How the United States Immigration System Works: A Fact Sheet." Immigration Policy
Center. American Immigration Council, 1 Mar. 2014. Web. 12 Oct. 2014.
(How the United States Immigration System Works: A Fact Sheet.)
This source is used to know what the modern methods to gain citizenship are. It is limited
to only knowing the modern methods, not telling where or how or how it was a few
decades ago. It is weak because of this, but strong because it tells every possible way to
stay in America in the modern day.
This source will explain the many methods to gain US citizenship, or a visa without too
much information.
Population by Race in America. Digital image. N.p., n.d. Web. 28 Oct. 2014.
(Population by Race in America)
This is a great visual to add to the presentation because it shows the population of America
by race and where. It shows all the populations that have immigrated and shows where they
immigrate to. It is sadly, not up to date to modern times because it is as of 2000.
I am not sure or not if this visual is necessarily relevant to the project, because it is already
common knowledge that the majority of the USA is of German descent.
Saha, Prabir. Telephone interview. Oct.-Nov. 2014.
(Saha)

Saha 4
This interview was very helpful when asking about immigration in modern times. My uncle
immigrated in the 1980s and was here when everyone else in my family immigrated,
therefore, he knew how it has changed from the 1980s to present day. Sadly, he does not
know much about how immigration worked before he came.
This interview is of great use to the project because he and others of my family have much
knowledge of the modern day immigration system and can be able to give me a lot of
information about immigration.
Unauthorized Illegal Population. Digital image. N.p., n.d. Web. 28 Oct. 2014.
(Unauthorized Illegal Population)
This visual shows the amount of illegal immigrants in America, and where they are mainly
located. This could be helpful if we want to show in our presentation how many people
immigrate, but not documented as it is supposed to be. A negative part of this visual is that
it is as of 2008.
This visual is of great use since we plan on expanding our topic, but not truly necessary for
the main subject of the project. It will be good because we wanted to talk about illegal
immigration.
