Write routinely over extended time frames (time for research, reflection, and revision)

Goals of the lesson:
Behavioral Objective 1: After listening to instructions, collaborating with a group,
students will plan their projects and present their ideas to the teacher.

Motivator: (15 minutes)
Quick write: Write down as many things you can remember about what you have
learned and done during this creation unit.
Everyone will share one thing theyve written.
Procedures: (40 minutes)
Introduce final assignment (further details and criteria on class website):
Students will create a project containing creation myths (either from cultures
previously discussed or student created from lesson 5), Spore creatures, gods
and goddesses, adaptations, and chaos scenarios.
Students get into groups
Brainstorm project ideas
Students get project approval from teacher
Write ideas down on board -- students may change groups if there is a particular
project they wish to work on
Closure: (5 minutes)
Let students know that if they have not settled on a project idea, they must do so
by the following class (otherwise teacher will pick project)
Note: Students will have several days to work on this project in class
