Procedure
1. Present lecture on friction
T: Explain difference between kinetic and static friction and their formulas.
Demonstrate how to find friction. Answer questions as needed.
S: Listen and take notes. Ask questions as needed.
2. Present materials for rollercoaster
T: Show students materials you want them to compare and contrast for building a
rollercoaster
S: Listen and ask questions as needed.
3. Demonstrate Wikispaces
T: Show where and how to log on and create an account. Also demonstrate how to
make a post.
S: Listen and take notes. Ask questions if needed.
4. Facilitate a brief preparatory discussion on friction and rollercoasters
T: Direct a class discussion about their ideas on friction and which materials are best
for the rollercoaster to prepare for their assignment.
