I have a bridge rectifier. I decide to use three capacitors (each 110uf) to filter the ripple.

So I built the
circuit as below. The ripple voltage in the output was 6V (peak to peak). My professor said that such
a ripple was unacceptable. He asked to me to modify the circuit so that the ripple is reduced to the
best possible value. How to modify this circuit? Help me!

PEAK TO PEAK RIPPLE VOLTAGE = (5V/div * 1.2div) = 6V

CORRECTED CIRCUIT:

PEAK TO PEAK RIPPLE VOLTAGE = (5V/div)*0.2div = 1V

How?
The larger the capacitance of the capacitor filter the larger is the reduction of ripple.
Using three like capacitors, the maximum equivalent capacitance can be achieved only by
connecting them in parallel.
