A rainbow ribbon appears slowly once the book opens. The children are able to see what
colors are used to create a rainbow.

Monsters love colors, there is red, blue green etc. Monsters like to mash, scribble and
wiggle.

There are different color animals like a red crocodile. This book is filled with colorful
animals to enhance a Childs examination.

A small caterpillar that gets very hungry and goes through a journey of eating all kinds of
food. The caterpillar becomes a beautiful butterfly after it makes itself a cocoon.

The bear talks about different colors and what they are similar to. Green mint and sweet
peas, colors everywhere.

Feelings can also be described with different colors. There is silly, glad, sad, angry etc.
all which children can look at.
Johnson Crockcett- Harold and the purple crayon
Harold goes on a walk with a purple crayon while missing many things he begins to
create them with his purple crayon. He creates a moon and a pathway and begins to create his
world.

Many color animals that see different animals of different colors. Finally a teacher sees
children looking at her and children see every color animal plus a teacher that is showing them
all the animals.
Pfister Marcus- The rainbow fish
A fish that lived in the deep ocean that was proud of his scales and loved to see them
shimmer. Although the fish didnt want to share his shimmering scales with anyone so he
became alone in the ocean until he began to share.
Pizzoli Greg- The watermelon seed
A crocodile that is afraid of swallowing a watermelon seed. He is scared that his body
will change if he swallows a watermelon seed. Maybe his skin will change colors?
Dr. Seuss- Green eggs and ham
He is afraid of trying green eggs and ham all he says is he does not like them. His friend
tries to offer them to him in different places but he doesnt like them. When he finally tries them
he loves them.
