The Good Life
Doing research from my peers, some of them have the same goals and ambitions in some
sort of way but yet they have differences in mind sets. The good life of my fellow peers include
success, relationships, and healthy families.
The first person that I interviewed was my roommate and his dreams and aspirations are
to have a stable job, have his own apartment and working towards a house with no debt, and a
good car. He also wants to have Love, Happiness, and a strong faith with God, this will be his
good life at the age of 27. Researching on his dreams and aspirations I've found that according to
a study done by The University of Virginia Center for Politics, only 24% of people between the
age of 26-40 own a home. If he has debt then most likely he will not have his dream of owning
his own home because then he won't be able to pay for it. Yet he can still acquire happiness
through mental clearance and once he finds the love of his life and still gain a strong relationship
with god at which neither one cost at all.
The next person that I interviewed was Anthony Maza who wants to get his degree from
college make six figures have a wife with two to three kids that are healthy. To have a secure job
with a million dollars in the bank that he owns and not have any worries financially. Doing
research I've discovered that only about 20% of American Households make an annual income of
six figures or more according to the Census Bureau data. Research shows that most millionaires
are married which means that they double up so it causes them to have a dual income.
Millionaires are highly educated it is stated that 78% of the people who earn $200,000 thousand
of more have a college degree or an advanced degree. What I did not find out is what he plans to

study which will play a huge part in his future plans to when it comes to his finances. No one
really knows if he will make a million dollars or not. I will say that is it possible that he will find
the love of his life and it is possible that he can have his dream wish of a family if it's God plan
for him. The number of marriages a year are 2,118,000 the percent of men married at the age of
30 is 56%. Anthony has more than half of a chance that he will find a wife by the age of 30.He
can reach his goal of a degree if he continues to work hard in school and keeps his mind focused
on his goals that he wants to achieve.
Nico is a person whom is thinking ahead of the crowd not only does he want a college
degree, steady job, and a solid 401k. Whether or not if he graduates and earns his college degree
will really be on him. A report from "Bloomberg.com" states that college graduate rate was
14.5%, but now has moved to 15.4% . Since the world we now live in requires a high level of
schooling in order to establish a career. According to some data from The Economic Policy
Institute, Americans with a four-year college degrees made 98% more an hour on an average in
2013 than people without a diploma. This affects Nico in the long run with his aspirations of
steady job which in turn leads to his investment into his 401k. Study done to figure out how
much should be invested into your 401k by age of finding a job shows that Nico will have to find
a job at the age of 22 make $30,000 a year. So that that the time that he is 28 keeping the same
job imaging that he has a raise or promotion in his job field, making close to $36,000 dollars a
year roughly $26,000 should be invested into his 401k.
So in conclusion from my research it's a trend that occurs all three of the people I
interviewed want to find happiness from either money, solid foundation in a career and stability
for the future. All three of them have different goals or at least what they consider to be the good
life for what they seek I'm the future. Everybody has wants but nobody knows how life will Pam

out for them God has a plan for each and every single one of us that only he knows what will
happen we just have to make the correct decisions in life to take us to us to the promise land.
