Objectives: To educate students about different cultures around the world.
Students will apply their knowledge of cultures to create a group research project,
which show the different elements of culture from a specific country.

Learning Outcomes: Student will be able to describe common elements of the
different cultures from around the world. They will be able to research the country
online and be able to identify if the information they found is fact or not.

Procedures:
1. First thing is to give a lecture on what is culture? using my PowerPoint
presentation.

2. While I lecture the students would need to be taking notes on what I


would be writing down on PowerPoint presentation.
3. During my lecture so I can know if my students are understanding the
concept I would be asking questions on things that I went over.
4. After I finish lecturing I would show the twelve minute video that
explains that shows that the world is has so many different people that
come from different backgrounds.
5. While my student watch the video I would start thinking dividing my
students into groups six. The reason why I choice groups of six is
because each person will have a subject to talk about.
6. I would then explain the project to the students and distribute the
different countries to the groups

7. I would inform them about the time period they will have to complete
the project will be two weeks.
8. For the rest of the class period they will be able to get into their groups
and choice who will do what subject.
9. Next, class period I will take them to the computer lab so they can start
researching about their country and topic.
10. The following class I will also take them to the computer so they can
print and look up more information.
11. After that I will give them one whole class period to get together in
their group so they can start working on their poster board.
12. Finally each group will present their country to the whole class.
Assessments: My students will be graded by how well they did their research
about their country and subject. Also, on how well they answer question from me
and their classmates.

Accommodations:
For students who are in a special education program they will be able to
participate in the group activity, but they would be able to get extra help
on their part of the project.

Modifications:

For all my students I will set up two class periods in a computer lab where
they will be able to print for free.
I will also give them one class period to work as group to

I feel that the lesson and activity went really well. Yes my objectives were met.
My learning outcomes were also met. Not all student understood the concept right away I
need to repeat the information a couple of times. Some students still need a little bit more
help to full understand the lesson. While we attend the computer lab I went around and
answer any questions that they had. I double checked their sources where they were

grabbing their information from. At first the students did not seem to into the project, but
the more they researched and found really cool interesting things they started having fun.
Next, time I might have the kids do the same project but this time compare it to their
culture. They will need to talk about what are the similarities and difference between the
both.
