A) Whole Class
a. The class Participated in a class discussion which was the pre assessment. All students
had the chance to tell me what they did for Thanksgiving. The students understood the
questions and gave a response that was related to the question 100% of the time. For
the during assessment when asked various questions at stopping points, the students
gave the correct answers 99% of the time. The student who answered the questions
incorrectly, was not paying attention and that is why they missed the question. The
questions were from the book. For the post assessment the students were given a
prompt to follow for the writing. The students could chose a different prompt if they did
not want to follow the one on the chart paper. The students wrote their sentences and
after checking the sentences the students used correct punctuation 75% of the time, it
was is order (just like the prompt) and 85% had sentences that stared with capital
letters. The student followed directions, and many of them just copied what was on the
board. This was okay, because what was on the board was meant to be used for

accommodations. The performance was great they mastered the objective and can now
move to another lesson.
B) Individual Students
a. High student: For this lesson the high student was successful in mastering the objective
of the lesson. When called on to participate, the student gave a lengthy explanation that
was 100% related to the question. The student for the during portion of the lesson was
also 100% successful. The student when called on gave a correct answer and asked a
higher order thinking question. The question asked to the student was explain what
camouflage was? The student answer related to real world things that were not
common and later asked if it was a non-fiction book because it had non-fiction ideas in
it. For the post assessment the student was the first to finish. The student has common
problem with making sure the letter at the beginning the sentence is capital. The
student was designated to be my helper so they would not get bored. After giving a job
the student was able to assist other students in being successful with the objective.
b. Middle student: For this lesson the middle student was successful in mastering the
objective of the lesson. When called on to participate the student gave a response that
was uncommon to most. When asked to go into more detail the student was able to do
so. For the during assessment the middle student when called on to answer the
question: what will happen next? The student was able to answer the question and back
their answer up, with details from the story. For the post assessment the student put
their own twist on the assignment, but was able to complete it. When asked how whole
they catch a turkey, the students response was (I just go to the store, because I dont
want to kill nothing.) The student then proceeded to give steps on how their family
cooks the turkey.
c. Low student: For the lesson the low student was pulled out of class for resource.
Therefore the student was unable to complete their work. The student was not present
for the entire lesson and that is why there is not data on here.
C) The work below is the post assessment of the 2 students that were able to participate in the
lesson.
