Pre- and Post-assessment

The pre- and
Student Progress
During each lesson, I will be observing the students through discussion, visual arts, and
the post- assessment. As the students are creating their visual arts and discussing the different
landforms, I will be listening for details and statements that support how the landform was
created, an accurate drawing of the landform, and where you can find these different landforms.
Students will also be assessed through the post-assessment. I will see if students are able to
correctly label the eight different landforms after the three lessons have been taught. These
assessments are important because it allows me to see if the students understand the material
being taught. It will provide feedback on the way I am teaching my lesson, if I need to continue
teaching a certain landform, and it will show what students I may need to pull aside and provide
a mini-lesson for.
