ENGL 1101: Writing and Literacy in Academic Contexts I

The Final Reflection

In the past, I used to write in Arabic and I loved it. However, writing in English is
completely different and I loved too. In this semester, I learned many things that
improved my writing. E-portfolio and Zine project as well as ethnography were the best
things I gained in this semester that I will not forget not only because it was novel to me
but also because I will continue writing in my portfolio and improve my writing more
and more. I wont stop writing after this semester.
The first and the most often reason of my actions is the love. It is assumed and
stated in my philosophy that the basic motive for me to study is love. I study hard
because I am fond of what I study, I adore gaining new, beneficial information about my
major, and I reach the peak of elation when I understand new subjects. In other words, if
someone is addicted to something, say, sweets, he will do anything to satiate his desire
toward sweets; therefore, he will eat more and more to feel satisfied. This reason, the
love, usually drive me to my actions, and I think most of the people do what they do
because they love doing it or they love the result that might be constituted because of
doing that thing.
I put a grade as above and beyond as a daybook keeper. I worked on my daybook
and l loved working in that class either in groups or individually. From the beginning of
the semester, my writing was improving and now I feel more comfortable when I write
more than before. I want to get an A in this semester because I worked as hard as I can on
my writings and on my e-portfolio to make it enjoyable and understandable and of course
to make it rigor ^_^

In the first page, I wrote an introduction about myself to make the site personal. In
the book entries section I put ten book entries that I liked most and that were different
from each other to make the site enjoyable. Some of them are political and others speak
about social life and ones are personal. In the polished work &Zine section I put my work
in Zine project and the papers that I improved after getting the professors feed back. In
the process work section I uploaded all the drafts and the mid conference papers and the
professors feedback
