Target Behavior(s) to be Decreased:


1. Screaming/Crying- Student screams out or cries when he does not get what he
desires, or when he has trouble expressing his wants and needs. He also screams at
inappropriate times when he gets excited.
2. flailing-Student will swing, kick, and throw his body around when he becomes
upset.

Positive Behavior(s) to Replace Negative Behavior(s):
1. Student will vocaloize at appropriate times throughout the day, and will use appropriate forms of
communication to express his wants and needs.
2. Student will sit in his seat during instructional time.

Describe Techniques/Strategies to be Used to Alter or Change the Following:
1. Physical/Classroom Environment:
The play area will be blocked off during intsructional time. Student will be
seated to where his back is to the play area.
2. Instructional/Academic Environment:
The student will have a visable schedule, and a talker to help express his
wants and needs. During transition times, Student will be shown his
schedule so that he can physically see a new task beginning. During
carpet time Student will be able to have his preferred item, as long as he
keeps a quiet mouth. After 15 minutes of instructional time with 5 or less
outburst/screams/cries, Student will be positively praised and allowed 5
minutes of a reinforcer of his choice.
3. Response to Behavior(s):
Reinforcers:
- Positive praise
-Item of his choosing: car, horse, iPad, swing, free play, edibles
Consequences:
-loss of reinforcers
time out in a designated area.
