1 idea you came across in the reading that you agree with and why.
Genres are dependent upon situations. How a genre is written depends on what the writer
chooses to write about and what form he writes it in. I agree with this, now that I have better
understanding of genres and the different roles they play. There are many types of genres and
they all have different formats.

1 idea that you have question about and why.

How something is considered a genre? When I discovered that genres extend to the back
of cereal boxes I was very confused. I though genres were limited to sci-fi, non-fiction and
fiction. Can anything be considered a genre?
