Another Parkersburg
church broken into and
vandalized
Vandalism at two churches in Wood County remain under
investigation.
The second vandalism occurred early Tuesday in the south
side area of Parkersburg, destroying United Christian
Church and damaging both the interior Chapel and the
vestibule.
The pastor of United Christian Church reported the breakin to state police and the local Sherriffs department.
It appeared that several pastoral robes were destroyed,
pews upended and tapestries ripped from the walls, but
there was no apparent sign of an attempt to set a fire.
Pastor Rick Roberst stated that his worst fear, a deliberate
arson, was not on the agenda of the vandalist.
The West Virginia State Police and agents with the Wood
County Sherriff department are continuing their
investigation.

Parkersburg, West Virginia Priceless Egyptian
artifacts are still missing and Egypt has raised a
heighted international alert for their return.
The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and

of attacks in Northern Parkersburg last night.
Police received several calls after a group travelling
in a white hatchback targeted parked cars in
Carmichael Rd, Christopher St and Devonport Rd
