Multimodal Group Project
Before the group project I already had a pretty solid understanding of the holocaust and
how different governments responded to it, but I didnt know exactly what went on in the
specific camps. Being as that I didnt really know much about the individual camps I kind of
pushed our group towards the idea. This means that when we started our project our main focus
was to find all the information we possibly could about all the different camps. The reason this
topic interested so much is because it astounds me on how people could be so cruel. I understand
that some soldiers were just following orders and not trying to stand out among their collages,
but how could someone have the soul to pull through with some of the things they did.
The good thing about our group is that no one took offense if their ideas werent going to
be used, which is a good thing because we wouldnt get anything done if people pouted about not
using their ideas, But during the research there were many times where my ideas got threw away,
and it was for the better. For instance, I even threw away an idea for my original plan was to
build a 3d model of Auschwitz. Everyone was actually on board but the costs of making it were
too high. Apparently these small miniatures were made out of gold if they were charging what
they were. Now I was one of the group members who advocated researching life in the camps we
altered it slightly for our blog. Our powerpoint/prezi gave a generalization of the life in camps,
where the blog covered a girls experience in Auschwitz.

Honestly I was thoroughly impressed with our final presentation for I thought it turned
out really well. When Ryan said he was going to make a t-shirt I had no idea it was going to look
as good as it did in person. The decision making process in our group was fair and we didnt
really have any issues. We decided that a powerpoint would get the information out and the blog
would give a refreshing perspective. And the shirt was like the topping of the cake, it gave a
physical reference of our information. Now I figured some things about myself as a student
during this process and that was that my public speaking skills improve when I am presenting
with multiple people, also researching is easier because it speeds up the process. I believe I could
have managed my time better but I am a team player so it all worked out. Overall I enjoyed this
group project and I learned about multidimensional work and I love it. It is more enjoyable not
only as the writer but the audience as well.
