Letter of Recommendation

I know Mr. Subramanian Anand Swaminathan for four years in my capacity as his
teacher in two courses, viz. MAT 141 Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus and MAT 241
Numerical analysis and its applications.
Having offered three courses, I could observe that Anand was a hardworking
student. His aptitude towards imbibing Mathematical skills is evident from the fact of his
obtaining an average score 9.15 out of 10.0 in the three mathematics courses apart from
his score of 790(96th percentile) in the Quantitative section of GRE.
As a student who is good in fundamentals of mathematics, he could grasp any
new concept with a quick sense of understanding. He was in the habit of raising
questions, seeking clarifications both in classroom and at the department.
I could place him among the top 5% of his class and I am sure that he will be a
